Following Thursday's new trailer for Final Fantasy VII Remake, Square Enix has confirmed that the game is planned to be released in multiple installments. While this was revealed upon the project's unveiling in 2015, Square Enix is now affirming that this is still the case.
Producer Yoshinori Kitase has stated that each installment will have a full game's worth of content. This leads to the possibility that the original game's storyline will be expanded with content to accommodate the Final Fantasy VII spinoffs that added to the lore of the game's world.
Final Fantasy VII Remake is currently in development for PlayStation 4.
