Revealed today at the end of Sony's State of Play broadcast, fans were treated to all-new footage of Final Fantasy VII: Remake. Cutscenes showed Cloud, Aerith, Barret, and Sephiroth, as well as supporting characters such as Jessie from the AVALANCHE team. Choice cuts were largely from the early "Bombing Mission" portion of the game, including Cloud's first meeting with Aerith. The livestream also gave audiences a first glimpse of gameplay since Square Enix announced the latest rebuilding phase of the title, including a clip of Cloud using his "Braver" Limit Break. It appears that the battle system will feature action-oriented movement throughout, as the developers had hinted at in previous announcements. The livestream then concluded by saying more details will arrive in June.
