TERA Rescheduled + 55 New Screen Shots
Let's just say... it won't be out this fall.
08.03.11 - 9:03 PM

As recently as June, TERA producer/publisher En Masse Entertainment had been expecting the Action MMORPG to launch by the end of 2011.

Today, En Masse updated TERA's launch "timing" as they call it to Spring 2012. If we assumed the middle of fall was the former release date, that's potentially about a six month delay. While it's always disheartening to hear - though better than a cancellation - the delay is for quality purposes, as Chris Lee, publishing VP of En Masse Entertainment states:

“Adding time to our schedule will help us ensure we exceed people's expectations for TERA. The game's action combat and depth has generated a lot of interest, and we are committed to making sure every aspect of the game lives up to our standard of quality.”

Since MMORPG launches are often... okay, always shaky, any effort to keep things running smoothly is probably something to be encouraged. Plus, it gives some of us more time to save up for that computer upgrade we'd need to actually play the game. Ahem.

In any case, the somewhat somber news is offset by the fact that we just added 55 new screen shots to our TERA gallery, bringing our total to a staggering 376. Take a look below to see what's new, and if you look hard, there's finally some screens with an actual game interface present, which has been oddly absent in like... every screen up to this point.

Bonus: You might have noticed in recent days we added a small divider in our gallery updates with a date - we thought this would make it easier for all of you to see exactly where each update's new media starts. It should be especially helpful if we happened to have a gallery that was nearing 400 screen shots.
