Nintendo and Intelligent Systems have opened up the official website for Fire Emblem: Souen no Kiseki. While not much content is available as of yet, the site contained some new story tidbits on the strategy series' first GameCube title. The young mercenary Ike, who was previously mentioned in the game's announcement, rescues a girl who is being pursued by some enemies. The girl turns out to be the princess of the kingdom of Cremia, who had set out to seek help from an allying country, Galia, after Cremia had been invaded by Deen. She then recruits Ike's mercenary group to escort her to Galia, which is known for its race of beastlike creatures.

Fire Emblem: Souen no Kiseki will be released in Japan in winter 2004.
