Nintendo Announces First Fire Emblem for GameCube
04.02.04 - 1:02 PM

Nintendo has announced the newest addition to the Fire Emblem series of strategy RPGs, Fire Emblem: Souen no Kiseki in Japan today. The series' first GameCube installment will feature an entirely new world, a new set of characters and most strikingly 3D visuals. It will take players to the world of Telius, putting them in charge of Eyck, the son of mercenary leader Grail. The young man is working hard to become a member of his father's mercenary army himself. His old man, whose is clouded in mystery, is strict but fair. Hence it is not surprising that he enjoys the respect of his subordinates. His vice commander is Tiamat, who seems to have a connection with Grail dating back to the latter's mysterious past. Senelio is an apprentice member of the group and very loyal to Eyck. Last but not least, there is Mist, Eyck's little sister. She is supporting the group behind the scenes and holds onto a medallion as a memento of her mother.

Fire Emblem: Souen no Kiseki will be available in Japan in winter 2004.
