Other Interests:
I love reading comics and novels (usually sci-fi, fantasy and horror). Also love anime and manga, science (mostly biology), creating fan art, going to cons, and hanging out with my dog!

Presenting... A Brief History of the Tina.

Once upon a time, in the far ancient history of the early 1990s, I played Dragon Warrior and was deeply confused. This confusion eventually turned to fun, and I decided to try some more of these neato "RPG" adventures. On one fateful day, I begged my mom to buy me a copy of the original Final Fantasy, and my life would never be the same: it was at this point when RPGs became an obsession, and 9-year old Tina began a quest to try every single one.

Since those ancient times, I have amassed a collection of over 600 video games, many still unplayed due to the demands of Adult Life. Bah! A large percentage of my favorites still consist of RPGs, though my interests have expanded to point-and-click adventures, strategy games, and action-adventure as well. I am sadly still no better at platformers than when I was 8 and struggling through the first few levels of Super Mario Bros. The Final Fantasy series remains a favorite, though my number one RPG of all time is the PlayStation masterpiece, Xenogears.

As far as other areas of my life, I don't believe I will ever stop taking courses even when I'm in my 90s. My education at York University (BA in Humanities and Psychology) was followed by an intense 3D Gaming program at Seneca, where I learned many of the art skills that I use in my current graphic design and illustration work. At the moment, I'm studying biology and related courses in order to learn scientific and medical illustration skills. Science is FUN!

Other than games, I collect way too many comics and novels (though this is plainly nonsense as there is no such thing as too many). I enjoy some genre TV as well, obscure and often mediocre movies featuring my favorite actors, and spending time with my really awesome little dog. We live beyond the Wall, aka north of Toronto, Ontario. Winters are generally spent hiding from the White Walkers which occasionally make an appearance in the park beyond our house. Terrifying!
