I started gaming when I was four years old, first picking up an NES controller and knocking out Glass Joe in Punch-Out!! Since then I've been gaming pretty regularly. Other than Zelda, I didn't pay attention to most RPGs until Final Fantasy VII. Since then I've played through many that have come before and after, initially almost Japanese exclusive, but more recently Western. As I've gotten older I've drifted more towards WRPGs, but I still appreciate a good JRPG too!
Even though my favorite genre of games is role-playing, the Super Mario series is still my all-time favorite. This includes the main series, the "New" series, Mario Kart, and the other various Mario sports games, particularly Mario Tennis and Mario Golf. Oddly enough, I do not care for any of the Mario RPGs despite this love. I guess I like my RPGs a little more on the serious side.
Being a Minnesotan, I'm a big Timberwolves and Vikings fan. This also means I'm very familiar with heartbreak and failure, especially thanks to the '98 Vikings, '09 Vikings, and the last decade of Wolves ball. I'm also an admirer of music, having dabbled in songwriting myself. I tend to favor British rock, including the Smiths, Beatles, and Radiohead. I currently work at a drug testing lab, but have my hopes set on something FAA related soon.
