Developer Sunny Side Up has unveiled a new trailer for their upcoming fantasy RPG Little Witch in the Woods, where players will take on the role of an up and coming witch known as Ellie as she seeks to graduate with flying colors from witch school, bringing a small village back into prominence. Check out the hijinks below!

A cute art style and tone, indeed. Little Witch in the Woods seeks to embody it, with developer Sunny Side Up stating that the game itself will anchor itself within the vein of exploration, relationships, and activities. Players will have the opportunity to expand and improve upon the small village that Ellie finds herself within, forging relationships with the inhabitants therein, human and non-human alike. Ellie will also have to explore around the village, to gather ingredients and witness the ecosystems around her, both floral and faunal. As seen in the trailer, it seems that the seminal activity of witches everywhere, that of potion-making, will feature heavily, as a reward and pursuit of exploration and collection of resources.

As it stands, Little Witch in the Woods is a title to keep an eye on in the coming months, for those who might enjoy a calmer pace of game, a la Stardew Valley or Animal Crossing.

Little Witch in the Woods is planned to release on PC during Winter of 2020, with potential Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 ports to follow its initial release.
