During the past few months, Atlus has released many "Morgana Reports" videos to show off some of the new features in their upcoming game Persona 5 Royal. Now, with the Japanese release of Persona 5 Royal happening at the end of this month, Atlus has revealed the final Morgana Report, showing off some new and unexpected announcements. Check it out!
One of the biggest new features to be added is the "My Palace" area, a completely customizable palace where the player's thoughts and memories will be gathered. Players will be able to place decorations and furniture within the palace, along with selecting their favorite characters to roam the palace as well! To acquire new items for the palace, players must earn all new "P Medals," which can be earned by completing certain challenges in both daily life and combat.
My Palace is more than just a cool new hangout spot for players. Within My Palace, players can view all new animations and art, as well as listen to their favorite tracks from Persona 5. In addition, players can challenge their friends to a friendly game of Daifugo, a Japanese card game, in order to win even more P Medals!
Long time fans of the Persona series may have also noticed some familiar faces in this new report. In the all new Velvet Room Challenge Battle mode, players will be able to go toe-to-toe with the protagonists from Persona 3 and Persona 4 in some intense battles. If you've learned anything from previous Shin Megami Tensei games, it's clear that these battles won't be a walk in the park! In addition, costumes from previous Persona games will also be available as DLC. While we don't know the full scope of these DLC costumes, special chibi models from Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth and Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight will be making appearances in the upcoming DLC!
While we in the West will have to wait a bit longer to experience Persona 5 Royal, Atlus will be hosting a special pre-release live stream for Persona 5 Royal on October 30th. No more information has been revealed for the live stream, so stay tuned to RPGFan for more information!
