During the recent "Metal Max 2021 Road to 30th Anniversary Talk Event," Kadokawa games revealed their upcoming plans for the Metal Max series, and boy are these plans big! Three news games are planned for the Metal Max series, and they're coming out sooner than you expect!

Metal Max Xeno Reborn

First up is Metal Max Xeno: Reborn, a complete remake of the original Metal Max Xeno which released on PlayStation 4 and Vita last year. Releasing on the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch, Metal Max Xeno: Reborn is a complete remake of the original game. Players will once again be able to explore the world of Metal Max Xeno with help from brand new systems, mechanics, and everyone's favorite gun-toting pooch, Pochi! The game is set to release in Japan this Winter, so hopefully we'll see a western release soon after!

Metal Max Xeno Reborn

A direct sequel, Metal Max Xeno: Reborn 2 will take place in a more western setting compared to previous games. While details are currently scarce on this upcoming title, Kadokawa Games has stated that Metal Max Xeno: Reborn 2 will have an emphasis on "hard" and "survival," so don't expect this new title to be a walk in the park! Planned for a 2020 release in Japan, Metal Max Xeno: Reborn 2 will be available on the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.

Metal Max Xeno Reborn

And finally we have Code Zero, a brand new project by Kadokawa Games that plans to reboot the Metal Max series all the way back to its roots on the original Famicom. No release date or consoles have been announced for this project, so don't expect to see it any time soon. Nevertheless, it's great to see that the Metal Max series is still going strong!

If you can't wait to try out these new games, maybe an exciting contest will help hold you over! On Twitter, users who follow the @MetalMaxXeno profile and retweet their targeted tweet will be entered in to a chance to win an exclusive "Okaero Pochi! T-Shirt," which was exclusively handed out at the above mentioned event. Only three winners will be chosen, and with a cut-off deadline of October 8th, make sure you enter while you still can!
