Looking back on my album purchases over the last few years, it seems about half of them were OSTs from mobile games. One soundtrack in particular that stood out from the rest was Yuki Hayashi's Alice Order OST. I absolutely adored Hayashi's tracks, as you can read in my review, but what made every second listened even more blissful was that fact that I knew very little about the composer. I went in blind and was thoroughly satisfied with the music, leaving an incredible impression on me. The very same thing can be said of Takao Ogi's work on Tales of Asteria's OST. However, rather than listen to my high praise of this lovely gem, Patrick Gann is here to offer his critical ear if this is worth your time. Enjoy the read and samples within, dear readers.
