Guild Wars 2 Reveals "The Icebrood Saga"
Head to the frigid north for a brand new adventure!
Earlier today, NCSOFT and ArenaNet announced a brand new chapter for their award winning MMORPG, Guild Wars 2. This new chapter, titled "The Icebrood Saga," will focus on the frigid wasteland of the Northern Shiverpeaks. After the defeat of the Elder Dragon Kralkatorrik, rumors begin to stir of a new ancient evil from the north. Will you be able to defeat these new evils, or succumb to their corrupting influence? Players will be able to get their first taste of this new chapter on September 17th, when the prologue episode, "Bound by Blood," releases. Players who own the original Guild Wars 2: Path of Fire will be able to play the entirety of the Icebrood Saga for free!
In addition, the first expansion, Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns will be available for free to owners of Guild Wars 2: Path of Fire. Those who already own Heart of Thorns will receive a special "Veterans" title, which will give them access to a unique glider, title, and a free voucher for one of sixteen exclusive gem store armor skins! New content isn't the only thing coming to the Guild Wars universe. In collaboration with Dark Horse Comics, a brand new art book containing never before seen designs and artwork from the Guild Wars universe is set to release in Spring of 2020. Along with this, new Funko Pops featuring fan favorite characters from Guild Wars are set to release in January of 2020, along with a merchandising deal with Hot Topic, so expect to see some cool new shirts in a store near you! And finally, for you music fans out there, NCSOFT and ArenaNet are partnering with music streaming service TIDAL to release musical scores from Path of Fire, Heart of Thorns, and Living World seasons 2, 3, and 4 available on the platform!
