Earlier this week, Falcom updated the official website of Ys IX: Monstrum Nox, showing off details about new characters along with what pre-order bonuses will come with the Japanese version of the game. Without further ado, let's jump right in!
Characters
A mysterious man who's always seen with his partner Owl, Arthur, Maxim is a black market dealer within Balduq City, selling shady items and information. In addition to his black market dealings, Maxim also seems to be gathering information in regards to the prison, along with details about certain prisoners.
A traveling doctor currently residing in Balduq City, Salady is constantly assisting the poor and bereft in Baldq City, free of charge. Spending her free time at the bar where Adol and Dogi are currently hiding, Salady also is on the hunt for a "certain something."
A mysterious maid with a strange mask, Silhouette is a sensible and graceful person. Working as a servant under a figure known only as "sensei," Silhouette was arrested by the Seikoku Knights, who had questions and concerns about her mask. Rumor has it that her mask has the power to make certain things invisible.
Intelligent and warm-hearted, Tito is an apprentice blacksmith, following in the footsteps of his father who died several years earlier. He now lives alone with his little sister Arche. When he was alive, Tito's father created a special weapon called "The Demon Conqueror," which had the ability to slay demons.
A member of the "Holy Beast Roo" family found in Europe, Xavier is a special case within the Roo tribe. While most Roo speak exclusively in a special language, Xavier has learned how to speak the language of humans. Arrogant and condescending, Xavier has taken up residence within the prison. Upon meeting Adol, he lends his powers to the team.
Pre-Order Bonuses
Those who pre-order the game digitally will be able to collect a multitude of items before the games release. First up is a mini collection of 10 background music tracks from the [CODE:RED] soundtrack from the physical version of the game, and the [CODE:BLACK] soundtrack from the collectors edition.
In addition, players will also receive an exclusive PlayStation 4 theme and avatar set, featuring main character from the game!
