Sega has announced that it will be bringing all three mainline Yakuza titles from the PlayStation 3 as part of a new Yakuza Remastered Collection. All three titles will run at 1080p in 60 frames per second, but will also feature modern enhancements such as touched-up localization, substory markers, and previously cut content. The digital release of the Yakuza Remastered Collection kicks off today with Yakuza 3, with Yakuza 4 unlocking on October 29th, and Yakuza 5 following on February 11th, 2020.
Fans of the series hoping for a physical release will be excited to hear that the Yakuza Remastered Collection will be available on store shelves the same day Yakuza 5 unlocks for digital purchasers — February 20th.
This limited Day One Edition includes all three games across two discs, special packaging featuring Kiryu's iconic back tattoo, and a collectible Yakuza 5 PlayStation 3 case to allow collectors to finally complete their game shelf.
With the release of the Yakuza Remastered Collection, all seven mainline Yakuza titles chronicling Kazuma Kiryu's adventures are available on one platform, making it a great time for players who have never experienced a Yakuza title to jump into the series — beginning with Yakuza 0, of course.
