Retro Encounter Final Thoughts ~ Trials of Mana

Perhaps one of the best use cases of "FINALLY."

Released a scant few months after the Switch released in Japan, Collection of Mana contains the first three titles of the Mana/Seiken Densetsu series. Given that no country saw the release of the third game back in the 16-bit days, it was little surprise that this collection also didn't leave Japan.

At least, until E3 2019 came along, and Nintendo revealed that this very collection was available the very same day (along with the reveal of a full-on remake coming in 2020). Once our collective jaws hit the floor, within moments we decided that the following month's Retro Encounter game would be the elusive Seiken Densetsu 3, now titled Trials of Mana.

If you've been following along with the podcasts thus far, you know our pro podcast panelists have piles of praise for the long-awaited game. If you haven't yet, be sure to listen to both Part I and Part II of this special Retro Encounter game journal series first, and once you're caught up, head over to read each panelists' Final Thoughts!

(And yes, we'll talk about this drastically new look for RPGFan later this week, once we iron out some more small kinks, so we appreciate your patience!)
