You can carry over your Story Mode progress into the final game.

Want to get a taste of Tokyo RPG Factory's latest game? You're in luck! The Oninaki demo is available now on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam! Players in North America and Europe can access the demo along with residents of Australia, New Zealand, and Japan.
The demo features two modes: Story Mode and Battle Mode. In Story Mode, play as Watcher Kagachi as he travels from the living world to the dead in order to save souls of the Lost. Progress in the story can be transferred over to the full game. Battle Mode allows you to play as an upgraded character who uses four possessed daemons that act as different RPG roles.
Just in time for the launch of the demo, Square Enix released a new trailer:
Oninaki releases on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam worldwide on August 22nd.
