Things continue to look up for Monolith Soft! Besides hiring for a new Legend of Zelda project, which could possibly be the Breath of the Wild sequel based on their work on its predecessor, Monolith Soft is experiencing quite the increase in profits!

Xenoblade Chronicles 2

At the end of the fiscal year on March 2019, Monolith Soft's profit total was at 274 million yen (or roughly $2,516,416 USD), an increase of 98.6% in total profit from the previous year. In comparison to last year, the company's profit was at 138 million yen.

With that being said, Monolith Soft opened their latest studio in Osaki, Tokyo this week! For those keeping score, that puts Monolith Soft at five studios now! Of course, with this new studio comes the need of more staff members. The studio is looking to fill the following roles:

  • Effect Programmers

  • Modeling Technical Artists

  • Rigging Artists

  • System Management Staff

  • And more!

Xenoblade Chronicles 2

The contributing factor for Monolith Soft's success last year appears to be the release of Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna – The Golden Country. You can check out what we thought of the expansion here.
