Final Fantasy IX 1.02 Patch Mends Music Bug on PlayStation 4
An ear worm done and dusted. 06.27.19 - 7:52 PM Square Enix has released a patch for the PlayStation 4 version of Final Fantasy IX, bringing it to Version 1.02. The patch itself brings a fix to a known and long-standing music bug within the game itself, causing background music to restart after battles and Tetra Master bouts. The patch also mended a few bugs, as well as a nasty issue regarding party members getting caught on the world map itself. Square Enix has also confirmed, via the official Final Fantasy Twitter account, that the patch, and music bug, will be applied to the Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Windows 10 and Steam versions of Final Fantasy IX in due time. As it stands, smoothing out of bugs in these remasters makes for enjoyable times for new and old players, and I, personally, can't wait to dive into Final Fantasy IX. If you're curious about what we thought of the remaster, check out our review for the Nintendo Switch version, penned by Greg Delmage. Stay tuned to RPGFan for all news Final Fantasy!
