New Final Fantasy VII Remake Details Include New Events, Honey Bee Inn and Dialogue Options
Cross-dressing scene is confirmed to remain. 06.19.19 - 10:14 PM Final Fantasy VII Remake Director Tetsuya Nomura was interviewed by Famitsu Magazine and revealed several new details on the upcoming game including details on newly added events, the famous Honeybee Inn scene, and dialogue choices. The remake will have many added events including the scenes in the E3 trailer where the "Watchmen of Fate" appear as black mist. Nomura noted that the sheer number of events is a major factor that led to the upcoming installment consisting of two Blu-ray discs. Alongside the new scenes, enemies that didn't appear in the original will be added to this installment. Nomura confirmed that the cross-dressing scene in the Honey Bee Inn will be returning in the remake. However, the facility will be updated to be more modern. New dialogue choices will be added into this scene as well as several other scenarios. The following dialogue will change depending on what options are chosen, greatly expanding the volume of dialogue compared to the original. A few more details were provided regarding the gameplay. Each character has differing enemy affinities, likely determining what types of foes they do well against. MP recovery must be done using items and presumably will not be automatically restored after each battle. Finally, opening up the command menu slows time down and lets the player fight in a fashion more similar to the original. Final Fantasy VII Remake is due for release for PlayStation 4 on March 3rd, 2020. Stay tuned to RPGFan for Final Fantasy series updates!
