E3 2019: Mary Skelter 2 Brings More Folklore-Inspired Dungeon Crawling to Nintendo Switch
Includes an upgraded copy of Mary Skelter: Nightmares with a new dungeon! 06.13.19 - 8:10 PM In Mary Skelter 2, the creepy, folklore-inspired dungeon crawler coming to Nintendo Switch, players will explore, attack in turn-based combat, and escape from terrifying nightmares. Each Jail, or dungeon, has its own desires, such as lust, hunger, and sleep, which players must take into consideration in order to satisfy the Jail's mood. Fail to satiate the Jail's desires and a white fog will fill the air, leading to an intense chase sequence as a Nightmare descends. Famous folklore characters like Rapunzel, Gretel, the Little Mermaid, and more will need to run to escape the impending dangers while also engaging in random encounter battles. Players should note that perilous pursuers can't be defeated by just destroying a core, so if you find yourself cornered — run! For players seeking a more challenging experience, Mary Skelter 2 offers up the Jail Trial system, allowing custom dungeon rules which increase both difficulty and rewards. Jack, the protagonist from 2017's Mary Skelter: Nightmares, makes a surprising return, this time as a nightmare. During battles, his heartbeat will increase until he transforms into Jack the Ripper, causing him to go berserk and unleash his wrath on enemies and teammates alike. Collect Blood Crystals to plant flowers which offer up plenty of helpful items, or sacrifice levels to increase a character's strength through a process called Blood Devolution. For those who missed out on the original entry, fear not! Mary Skelter 2 will come with a revamped and rebalanced copy of Mary Skelter: Nightmares, complete with a new dungeon.
