New Story Trailer, Screenshots for Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Released
A first look at the new base camp, monsters, and more! 06.05.19 - 12:00 AM A new trailer detailing the story of the upcoming Iceborne expansion for Monster Hunter World has been released, along with some exciting new screenshots! You can see the trailer for yourself below with more story details and information to follow. The Iceborne downloadable content will pick up after the end of the story in Monster Hunter World where players will once again join forces with the Research Commission again to explore the new region of Hoarfrost Reach — the largest map in the game. After a strange sighting in the Ancient Forest, the team journeys across the waters to the new locale, which is fittingly frigid and frightfully frosty. There, a new basecamp, called Seliana, is established amid the tundra of Hoarfrost Reach. Packed with supplies needed for exploring the harsh new climate, Seliana is a warm haven for all hunters in need of respite from the daunting challenges that await. New and returning monsters, like the newly discovered Shrieking Legiana and the familiar Tigrex, will make an appearance, offering up new challenges for even the most seasoned veterans. Fans attending E3 next week will be able to experience the Iceborne expansion for themselves firsthand, including a demo featuring three quests, all 14 weapon types, and brand new gameplay options including new weapon combos and the Clutch Claw function for the Slinger. Available quests will include a battle with the Great Jagras, for newcomers, a showdown against the Banbaro for intermediate players, and a tussle with the Tygrex — a challenge suited for only the fiercest hunters. Monster Hunter World: Iceborne will launch on September 6th for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, and while a base copy of Monster Hunter World is required, it's definitely worth enjoying the story before heading out on this treacherous journey into uncharted territory.
