Hideo Baba is No Longer With Studio Istolia or Square Enix
What does this mean for Project Prelude Rune? 04.05.19 - 12:19 PM In a surprise turn of events, after being with Square Enix since October 2016, Hideo Baba has left the company. He left Studio Istolia, a studio he was president of, at the end of December. His last days with Square Enix itself ended in March. Hideo Baba had this to say in a press release: Accompanying the change in Studio Istolia's management policies, I have resigned as the company's president as of the end of December 2018, and resigned from Square Enix as of the end of March 2019. Thank you again to Square Enix Group for giving me a variety of experience. I will continue to support everyone from behind the scenes, and I sincerely hope for the further growth of Square Enix Group. Best known for his work on the Tales of series, Baba left Bandai Namco after development of Tales of Zestiria. While with Studio Istolia and Square Enix, he worked on the PlayStation 4 RPG with the working title Project Prelude Rune. A teaser trailer for the game was shown at last year's Tokyo Game Show.
