Rune Factory 4 Special launches sometime this year.

Marvelous and Nintendo surprised us all by announcing not only a Switch port of Rune Factory 4 but also a sequel in a single Nintendo Direct! Before you jump on Rune Factory 5, though, you might want to give the Switch port of the fourth game a chance: players who have save data from Rune Factory 4 Special will receive a special bonus when they boot up Rune Factory 5!

No details about what the special bonus is have been said as of yet, but check back at RPGFan as we learn more about the game! In the meantime, here's our review for the original 3DS version of Rune Factory 4.
Rune Factory 4 Special releases on July 25th in Japan, sometime in 2019 for North America and Europe. Rune Factory 5 will debut on the Switch sometime in 2020.
