A new update on the long running project. 04.01.19 - 10:48 PM It's been a good amount of time since we received official news regarding the Final Fantasy VII Remake, but that doesn't mean Square Enix has been slacking off! In a recent update to Sqaure Enix's official recruitment website, Naoki Hamaguchi, originally the Development Lead for the remake, has now been promoted to Co-Director! This new role comes on the heels of Hamaguchi's permanent addition to Square Enix's 1st Development Division, so it's safe to say things are looking pretty good for Hamaguchi! After joining the Square Enix family during the development of Final Fantasy XII, Hamaguchi made a name for himself with his work on the Final Fantasy XIII trilogy and Final Fantasy Mobius. With the title of Co-Director now on his plate, we here at RPGFan are excited to see what Hamaguchi does with the Final Fantasy VII Remake!
