Publisher Digerati Distribution and developer Spearhead Games has announced that their choice-based action-RPG Stories: The Path of Destinies will launch digitally on Xbox One on March 22nd, a little over a week. Originally released in 2016 for PlayStation 4 and Windows, players took on the role of a ex sky-pirate named Reynardo, guiding him through a series of branching adventures, both heartwarming and eerie, framed as a fully narrated choose-your-own-adventure tome. The Xbox One version of Stories: The Path of Destinies will sport a full 4K resolution option, and players will also be able to net a 10% discount when the game launches for a limited time.
Personally, having played this title, it struck me as equal parts endearing and enjoyable, with choice based variety melded with simple, tactile combat cementing it as a positive experience.
