Mac, Linux Versions Of Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night Cancelled
Don't worry, it's not all bad news! 12.28.18 - 10:26 PM During the Kickstarter phase for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, many different platforms were planned to receive the game. Unfortunately, the scope of planned releases has dwindled over time, with the Wii U version moved to the Nintendo Switch, and the PlayStation Vita version being cancelled. Now we can add the Mac and Linux versions to the cancelled list, according to the most recent development update for the game. In the development update, creator Koji Igarashi stated, "We have made this tough decision due to challenges of supporting middleware and online feature support and making sure we deliver on the rest of the scope for the game." Those who backed the game with the intent to play the Mac and Linux versions will be able to email the team to switch which console they want the game. Not everything in the update was bad news, however! Igarashi also stated that development on the game was at its peak, and that performance checks were being performed on each platform. With developer WayForward recently joining the development team, it seems that the release date of 2019 is very realistic! Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is set to release in 2019 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Stay tuned to RPGFan for more news and info on your favorite games!
