DONTNOD Entertainment Releases A Mind-Bending New Trailer For Psychological Adventure Twin Mirror
Set to release next year. 10.31.18 - 12:04 AM Publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment and developer DONTNOD Entertainment have released the first gameplay trailer for Twin Mirror, a psychological thriller set deep in the themes of psychology and duality in rural North America. Check it out below! Set within Basswood, a small town within West Virginia, Twin Mirror puts players in the shoes of Sam Higgs, a man returning to a hometown long left behind for his best friend's funeral. Accompanying Sam is a self-aware part of his psyche, named 'The Double', acting as a foil to Sam in dapper threads, eschewing logic for sinister commentary in the trailer above. Twin Mirror uses the fictional concept of a Mind Palace as a gameplay conceit, allowing players to reconstruct different narrative timelines and settings for events within the game, all to help Sam figure out why, the day after the funeral, one of his shirts' is covered in blood. Twin Mirror will be episodic on release, akin to DONTNOD's previous series Life is Strange. The first episode, titled Lost on Arrival, is set to release sometime within 2019 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. No other release dates have been given for further episodes. |
