Prepare your Wanzer! Square Enix has announced a release date for Left Alive, the upcoming third-person shooter set in the Front Mission universe. Below is the release date announcement trailer, which also teases mech combat:

Left Alive releases on PlayStation 4 and Steam on March 5th. The game will be available in multiple ways. The physical Day One Edition includes the "Survival Pack" DLC, which adds an Ammo Pack, Light Body Armor, Recovery Pack, Klyuch Weapon, and Grenade Pack to your inventory.

Digital pre-orders are available now on both PlayStation 4 and Steam. Both pre-orders come with bonus content, such as the Ammo Pack, Light Body Armor, and Recovery Pack. However, each platform has its own exclusive pre-order bonuses. If you pre-order from the PlayStation Network, you receive the Static theme along with the Slava Weapon and Material Pack. If you pre-order on Steam, you receive a wallpaper set, soundtrack sampler, and the Padub weapon.

Left Alive

Last but far from least, Square Enix is offering a beautiful Left Alive: Mech Edition. Along with the Day One Edition of the game, the Mech Edition includes an 80-page hardback artbook, a steelcase, collector's box, and your very own Wanzer action figure. The Volks action figure was designed by the game's mechanical designer, Takayuki Yanase, and includes interchangeable parts and accessories. The Left Alive: Mech Edition is available to pre-order exclusively from the Square Enix Online Store at the price of $159.99 USD.

As mentioned previously, Left Alive is set in the same universe as the Front Mission strategy RPGs. The game features staff members with a high pedigree: Toshifumi Nabeshima (Armored Core series) is the director, Yoji Shinkawa (Metal Gear series) is the character designer, and Takayuki Yanase (Xenoblade Chronicles X) is the mech designer.
