Things are shuffling around over at Blizzard. Co-founder Mike Morhaime recently stepped down from his position as president after 27 years with the company.

World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth

Along with starting the company, Morahime worked on several titles as a programmer, producer, and executive producer. He worked on such titles as The Lost Vikings, the Warcraft series, and Starcraft. However, this news does not mean he will leave the company completely. Morhaime will remain with Blizzard Entertainment as a strategic adviser.

Taking his place as president is J. Allen Brack. Working with the company for 12 years, Brack led the team behind World of Warcraft as executive producer. Morahime had this to say about the new president via a blog post:

J. is an inspiring leader who has shown unwavering commitment to Blizzard's community in his 12 years with the company. His leadership on World of Warcraft leveraged his vision, creativity, and commitment to quality, and together with the rest of the dev team helped deliver an experience that is unprecedented in our industry. I couldn't be happier for J. and know that Blizzard will continue to make great games with him at the helm.
