Project Judge is the Newest Offering From Yakuza Developers
A brand new legal suspense action title set in the seedy underbelly of Kamurocho. 09.11.18 - 12:09 AM Sega's Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio, the team behind the beloved Yakuza series, has revealed their new IP, Project Judge (working title)/Judge Eyes: Shinigami no Yuigon which will release on PlayStation 4 on December 13th in Japan, Asia, and Korea with a Western release on the way in 2019. Set in modern-day Tokyo, more specifically in the Kamurocho District, Project Judge will center around former defense lawyer and private detective Takayuki Yagami (Takuya Kimura) as he attempts to follow a serial murder case. Using Yagami's intuition and skills as a private detective, players will need to tail leads, uncover evidence, and occasionally deliver swift blows of justice with their fists while out on the seedy streets of the red-light district. Described as a courtroom thriller action game, Project Judge delivers the suspense, action, and even the offhand silliness that one might expect from Ryu Ga Gotoku studio, and Sega Chief Product Officer Toshihiro Nagoshi. You can check out the game's debut gameplay and story trailers below to see all of the action firsthand! Starring additional acting talent like Akira Nakao, Kenichi Takito, Shosuke Tanihara, and Pierre Taki, Project Judge puts narrative first, which falls in line with the studio's goal of creating "enjoyable games that address mature themes."
