Nintendo Announces Pokemon: Let's Go! Special Edition Switch Console
This thing is going to sell a bazillion units. Well played, Nintendo. 09.10.18 - 11:59 PM The good people over at the Pokémon Company have dropped some pretty exciting news. While the company had already announced a bunch of bundles for their upcoming Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee!, apparently releasing the game with the Poké Ball Plus accessory wasn't enough. For the most hardcore of fans (or for those that love cute things) they have announced a Pikachu and Eevee-themed Switch that comes with your choice of the either edition of the game and a Poké Ball Plus. The bundle will cost $399.99 USD and includes a Pokémon themed Switch Dock with Eevee and Pikachu adorning the front, as well as various silhouettes of the aforementioned Pokémon on the back of the console itself. While there have been plenty of game-themed controllers and Joy Cons for the Switch, this is the first limited edition console from Nintendo, and considering the brand, this was an obvious and brilliant move. Just like all of their previous Pokémon styled handhelds and consoles, this is going to sell like crazy. Like, unbelievably crazy. I mean, just look at how specialized the Joy Cons are: To keep the hype train going, a new trailer for the Pokémon: Let's Go! games was released alongside the console announcement, introducing special moves reserved for Eevee and Pikachu. You can watch the trailer below, as well as the console announcement. New Features Trailer Special Edition Trailer Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Eevee! editions will release on November 16th. So will the special edition console. I assume it will sell out. Be sure to check out our gallery for the latest screenshots and artwork!
