AKA "Wild ARMs 2: Wilder ARMs." Everyone calls it that, right? Just me? Okay.

(Yes, I know the Japanese title was Wild ARMs: 2nd Ignition, which is campy enough that I didn't really need to come up with a lamer one. But anyway...)
There's a real charm to early PSone RPGs. The first Wild ARMs is a prime example of a game released during the transition of two eras in gaming. It featured lushly-detailed 2D overworld artwork, and primitive-yet-adorable chibi 3D models in combat. It captured the best of post-16-bit 2D with developers' fairly new efforts in polygon models, and it remains a classic to this day.
Now, I'm talking about the first Wild ARMs a lot here, because I've actually played that one, and I'm trying to hide the fact that I didn't play Wild ARMs 2, which is what we're streaming tomorrow. The sequel – and in fact, many of the other WA titles – are hailed as equally-classic RPGs, so come by our Twitch channel on Sunday at 10am PDT/1pm EDT to see why we like the second entry so much (oh, and you can also read our review in the meantime).
