Final Fantasy Record Keeper Kicks Off Octopath Traveler Collaboration Next Week
Olber... he likes the honey.
09.07.18 - 5:02 PM

Final Fantasy Record Keeper is host to a ton of Final Fantasy characters and events, and over the years, the developers at DeNA and Square Enix have been going more and more outside the confines of the numbered titles. The game has content from most sequel games like FFX-2 and Crisis Core, and side games like Final Fantasy Dimensions. Sora and Riku even made an appearance via a Kingdom Hearts event. Next up is the million-selling Octopath Traveler.

Starting September 12th at 5pm PDT and running until September 28th at 4:49pm PDT is the Crossing Paths event, and with it comes Octopath Traveler accessories, locations, and bosses.

Upon the launch of the event, all players will be rewarded with a 5★ weapon in Olberic's Sword, and 3 Mythril. Progressing through the battles – which involve the bosses of Olberic and Primrose's first chapters in Octopath – will also net one Primrose's Necklace, a 5★ accessory, and a "Music Record" for Octopath Traveler - Main Theme (FFRK features a Music Hall where you can listen to collected songs). Check out FFRK's version of these battles:

But wait, there's more! Live now is a web-based campaign called Record Traveler (you'll want to visit this link on your phone), which tasks players to find Final Fantasy characters hidden in Octopath Traveler scenes. Like other FFRK events, the global point total of all players will result in all FFRK players getting increasingly-better rewards once the campaign ends.

And now we're done. Final Fantasy Record Keeper is available on iOS and Android devices for the low cost of free, and Octopath Traveler is available now on Nintendo Switch. And yes, we will have our long-awaited review soon, so be on the lookout!
