Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Reaches Version 1.5.2 with Latest Update
Elma from Xenoblade Chronicles X joins the battle!

A visitor from a whole other planet has arrived in Xenoblade Chronicles 2! While at Gamescom, Nintendo surprised players with the 1.5.2 update, which grants Expansion Pass owners access to two new Rare Blades, two new battles to the Challenge Battle Mode, and new rewards.

Taking a short trip away from the planet Mira, Elma from Xenoblade Chronicles X joins the game as a Blade! However, just like with Shulk and Fiora, she won't join Rex and friends easily. In order to get her, you need to defeat the new Challenge Battle Mode mission "Otherwordly Fighter." Gaining her not only gives you access to her powerful Overdrive ability, but you also get to listen to the awesome "Uncontrollable" song from Xenoblade Chronicles X, if you so choose.

But Elma isn't the only Rare Blade! Corvin, the last Rare Blade included with the Expansion Pass, is now available! Corvin is a defensive character that uses the Light element.

And it doesn't end there! The other new mission for the Challenge Battle Mode, "Poisoned Paradise", throws a challenging fight at the player. How do you make it easier? Why, by dressing the characters in swimsuits, of course! The new outfits can be unlocked in the Challenge Battle Mode after earning some Flawless Noponstones.

Now for the future. The last milestone in Xenoblade Chronicles 2's DLC Expansion Pass is Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna ~ The Golden Country. Nintendo provided a brand new trailer, just in case everything else wasn't enough:

Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna ~ The Golden Country is available to Expansion Pass owners on September 14th. A physical version will be available on September 21st. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and the 1.5.2 update are available now for Nintendo Switch.
