Call of Cthulhu Seeks to Scare in New Gameplay Trailer
Dusty and ruined halls, elder gods hiding in dark places. What could go wrong? 08.23.18 - 11:16 PM Developer Cyanide Studios and publisher Focus Home Interactive have released a new trailer for the upcoming tabletop adaption Call of Cthulhu, showcasing a snippet of gameplay set within one of the areas of the game: the Grim Hawkins Mansion. Check it out below! Call of Cthulhu seems to be adapting the tabletop experience in nuanced ways, as can be seen in the trailer, from investigating various objects around a moonlit, dilapidated garden, choosing differing dialogue choices to try and calm down an angry groundskeeper, or reconstructing past events in an almost dream-like fashion. Personally, I think that Call of Cthulhu has all the right elements for success within the investigative-RPG genre. Here's hoping it lives up to its table-top counterpart!
