Souls-like Sidescroller RPG Salt and Sanctuary Coming To Nintendo Switch in August
Man, the Switch is getting some rad traction with ports nowadays! 07.28.18 - 9:23 PM Developer Ska Studios and porting studio Blitworks have announced that their brutal 2D RPG Salt and Sanctuary will be landing on the Nintendo Switch on August 2nd for players worldwide. Originally released in 2016, for PC, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita, Salt and Sanctuary told the story of a being known as the Saltborn, recently shipwrecked on a sinister isle crawling with all manner of abominations, and their journey throughout the game. Featuring 20 handcrafted bosses, co-op gameplay and a multitude of character customization featuring skills and items, Salt and Sanctuary for the Nintendo Switch will bring all content thus far created for the game upon release. Co-creators of Ska Studios, Michelle, and James Silva stated that Salt and Sanctuary was the manifestation of "...their want to create a Soulslike game that we wanted to play..." and that the positive reception to the game "...warmed their dark little hearts." On the game coming to Nintendo Switch, both creators were ecstatic of the process, stating that "Bringing Salt and Sanctuary to the Nintendo Switch means more people who like dismal, satisfying games can play our very dismal, satisfying game."
