Time to get your post-apocalyptic fill on the go! 07.21.18 - 6:40 PM inXile Entertainment has announced that Wasteland 2: Director's Cut is coming to the Nintendo Switch during an unconfirmed date in August, 2018. Check out the announcement trailer below! Wasteland 2: Director's Cut, an enhanced version of the 2014-released base game, sets players on a journey across the American Southwest, ranging through a nuclear-fallout afflicted Arizona and Los Angeles as a group of Rangers, seeking to finish the mission of one of their own found dead. Key features for the title, as listed by inXile Entertainment, include multiple solutions to problems and narrative beats found within the adventure itself, choices in the narrative that have macro and micro consequences for the Rangers and the world at large, and a bevy of customization for both character's appearances as well as the tools and weapons they wield. In the Director's Cut, the base game was enhanced to include a perks and quirks system that would allow further mechanical customization for the Rangers under their control, a precision strike system to cause tactical damage in the form of status debuffs or instant kills, and extensive voiceover work, deepening the aural experience by over 8,000 lines of dialogue. Wasteland 2: Director's Cut looks to be a sizable experience, and a worthy addition to the Nintendo Switch's ever-growing library. Stay tuned to RPGFan for all news Wasteland 2!
