Dragon Quest XI Producer Explains Switch Version Delay
So it was more than the game engine. 06.22.18 - 10:43 PM Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age was confirmed to get a Switch version a while ago, but has been delayed to release several months after the PS4 and PC versions. Producer Hokuto Okamoto explained the reason for the wait. Okamoto revealed that the reason for the Switch version being delayed was because the development kits for the console were not finished, nor were the specs known before Square Enix announced that the title would be coming to the Switch. The development team insisted on creating a Switch version and decided to green-light the port. Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age is due for PlayStation 4 and PC in North America and Europe on September 4th, 2018. The Switch version is currently in development. The game is available in Japan on 3DS and PS4. Stay tuned to RPGFan for more updates on the Dragon Quest series!
