NieR Automata Novelizations Coming to Bookshelves Worldwide
A grimoire, you say? 04.13.18 - 8:02 PM NieR: Automata fans rejoice! Viz Media has announced that they will be localizing two NieR: Automata novels, NieR: Automata – Long Story Short and NieR: Automata – Short Story Long for worldwide audiences outside of Japan. NieR: Automata – Long Story Short, written by Jun Eishima (Final Fantasy XIII: Episode Zero – Promise) is a novelization of the game itself, while NieR: Automata – Short Story Long contains a collection of short stories written by Eishima as well as Yoko Taro; the game's director. Viz Media has confirmed an October 2018 release window for NieR: Automata – Long Story Short, and a 2019 release window for NieR: Automata – Short Story Long. Personally, as an avid fan of tie-in novelizations, this is icing on the cake for what the NieR franchise has exhibited, with a multitude of short story collections released in times past, and I can't wait to see what Yoko Taro spins up for us in the future. If you're curious about the game itself, check out reviewer Dom Kim's review!
