RPGFan Has Joined the (Instagram) Party!
And with it, a new place for memes. Also inside: a note on some recent site changes.

Let's get to the main course right away: RPGFan is now on Instagram at rpgfancom! If you follow our social media platforms already, you know there's a similarity between our Twitter and Facebook feeds, simply due to the similarities of the platforms. Instagram is a different beast though, and we'll be treating it as such. We'll still share major features there, but mostly it will be cool images and videos, whether that's an awesome new figurine, excellent fan art, or anything in between. So follow us there and join in!

In other site news, you've no doubt noticed the quiet facelift RPGFan recently went under. We didn't remark on it much, as a driving force behind it was to make some small changes to speed up both our own internal workflow, and somewhat reduce page load. Making a post to say:

"Hey, you know how we used to display a separate image in the headline area and sidebar? Now we just use the same image in two places"

...just didn't seem like the most worthwhile thing. But I'm happy to tack it on here! We also made some other changes:

  • The entire RPGFan Music review listing has been refreshed. Not only do the listings visually match the rest of the site, but we have finally integrated proper alphabetical navigation, replacing the old "A-F," "G-R," S-Z" pages. Not only is there better indication of when a new letter begins, you can click the navigation to to directly to any letter, making it far easier to find what you want.
  • The social icons in the upper right now include Instagram and Discord.
  • The navbar size has been increased for better usability, and includes a link for Discord.
  • The main Reviews page has updated styling on the "recent" section, which improves usability by using larger images, and increases the recent reviews displayed from 8 to 9.
  • The main Features page has updated styling on the "recent" section, which improves usability by using larger images, and increases the recent features displayed from 4 to 6.

Personally, I'm most pleased about the change in Music, so if you haven't checked it out lately, please do! We're continuing to work on other updates and our mythical "new site," so please just bear with us a bit longer. We're getting there!
