Chasm to Launch on PlayStation 4 & PlayStation Vita This Summer
Nearly six years in the making! 04.05.18 - 3:49 AM Bit Kid Inc. and Sony Entertainment have announced, via the PlayStation Blog, that the long-awaited indie-RPG Chasm will be coming to both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita systems during summer, and will also be available for cross-buy. Originally backed on Kickstarter in 2014, Chasm tells the story of a fresh recruit for the Guildean Kingdom, about to take on their first mission. The parameters of your mission lead you to a mine that is imperative to your Kingdom's war efforts, and you and only you can explore its unnerving depths. The game is confirmed to have a randomly generated world, with hand-designed sections allowing players to experience a sense of pace, wonder, and exploration that is unique to their respective play through. Chasm is also set to have six main areas, populated with unique enemies, puzzles and boss fights, raring to test players upon release. For a look at the visual flair that Chasm possesses, check out a teaser trailer below! James Petruzzi, Founder of Bit Kid Inc., expressed reasons for the wait between the original 2014 demo and the upcoming release, stating that coding challenges and "...the sheer volume of content..." presented a few hurdles within the development cycle. Petruzzi went on to thank the early supporters of the game, stating that Chasm "...exists thanks to the financial and emotional support of those early fans, and we are eternally grateful." Personally, I've been waiting for Chasm for a long while, and I cannot wait until it lands this summer. Good things take the time they need to be ready, and video games are no exception. Stay tuned to RPGFan for all things Chasm!
