Shining Resonance Refrain Headed West [UPDATED]
With newly-placed punctuation, it would seem.

Why, it feels like just last month we were hoping that SEGA's PS4 remaster of Shining Resonance would come to our shores, and here we are: SEGA has announced that Shining Resonance Refrain is coming west. It's welcome news for a series that is very often overlooked for localization.

It may not have been announced simultaneously for worldwide release like Valkyria Chronicles 4, but since Refrain doesn't release in Japan (where its title is styled as "Re: frain") until late March, it's still surprising and welcome timing for an announcement. As we stated in our Most Anticipated feature, this remastered version of the 2014 PS3 original features improved graphics and playability, as well as alternative playable characters and differing perspectives on the main plot.

No release date was given at this time, but GameInformer's sources state that when Shining Resonance Refrain releases in English, it will be available on PS4 (as it is in Japan), but also on Nintendo Switch. Given the massive popularity of Nintendo's console, it should do well. While we await more news from SEGA, be sure to check out our Shining Resonance Refrain gallery.
