Check Out The New 25th Ward: The Silver Case Character Trailer
Oh, and the game comes out in a month too. 02.10.18 - 8:56 PM Part of NISA's press event featured the infamous SUDA51 talking about the original release of The Silver Case's sequel, The 25th Ward. He explained that the game originally came out on Japanese feature phones, since smartphones hadn't really taken off in 2005. And outside of Japan, feature phones weren't really well-equipped for games of this caliber, which is part of why the game never made it to other regions. On top of that, availability even in Japan was up to cell carriers, so not every cell carrier offered it – and to SUDA51's dismay, his own carrier didn't offer it, so he couldn't even play his own game! Now, almost 13 years later, The Silver Case's followup is finally getting a proper remake and release. Though "remake" might be a bit misleading, as The 25th Ward is apparently such a drastic update, it's more than the "remake" moniker might lead one to believe. NIS America has been coy about a release date, but have now confirmed The 25th Ward: The Silver Case is coming to PlayStation 4 on March 13th in North America, and March 16th in Europe. The Steam release is coming to both North America and Europe on March 13th. SUDA51 also expressed mock dismay that this puts the English releases on the market before Japan, which gets the game on March 15th. Fans of SUDA51 and the original The Silver Case – like, say, our own Robert Fenner – can look forward to this once-obscure followup next month, and in the meantime, check out this brand-new character-centric trailer below: Finally, we've also added 40+ new images to our gallery, so don't miss 'em!
