Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Goes Portable With An Incoming Switch Port
A deep seafaring CRPG set to eventually be on the go! 02.07.18 - 8:31 PM Developer Obsidian Entertainment and publisher Versus Evil have confirmed, via a report from Game Informer, that Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire will be coming to the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One during the holiday season of 2018. Obsidian is hard at work bringing the game to both PC, Mac and Linux, and has handed over porting duties to developer Red Cerberus. Personally, I couldn't be more excited for this news. With Pillars of Eternity being a nuanced and heralded CRPG, the Nintendo Switch port bodes well for others, like myself, that fancy lengthy and complex experiences to be available wherever we travel, and it seems Obsidian and Red Cerberus are intent on giving that to players worldwide. If you're doubly curious about what the first game entailed, take a gander at our review, penned by editor alumni Stephen Meyerink. Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire is set to release on April 3rd for PC, Mac, and Linux. Stay tuned to RPGFan for news on Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire!
