Did you really think it was going to be anything else but Persona 5? I mean, come on, you all saw this one coming. No, wait, don't start singing that song! Anyway, this week wasn't all Games of the Year 2017: we had news stories from Mike Salbato and Corey Hall, and reviews from Rob Rogan and Alana Hagues as well.

Ah, the SaGa series, a series that defines a love or hate relationship. Either you enjoy the difficulty, the weird mechanics, and the open-ended gameplay, or you think it's absolute rubbish and it needs to die in a fire. I feel like there is never a middle ground with these games. Check out Alana Hagues' review as she steps into the series for the first time.

So many games lately are trying to capture the magic of the JRPGs of yesteryear, but many of them fall short. Is it because the genre can't go back to its roots? Oh, BioWare, you crafty developer...teasing us with the possibility of a new Dragon Age game while simultaneously telling us that Anthem is well on its way in development.
