PC Version of Ys VIII Delayed Indefinitely
NIS apologizes for the delay. 01.20.18 - 12:11 PM NIS America has announced that, unfortunately, the PC version of Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana has once again been delayed, this time to an indefinite date. NIS stresses that this decision was "not made lightly," and will not affect the upcoming January 30th update for the PlayStation 4 and Vita versions. The reasoning behind the PC versions delay are a host of issues with the port, including framerate drops and memory leaks. According to NIS, "the systems regulating these framerate issues are heavily reliant on the architecture of the original PlayStation 4 version and, as such, are not existent in PC architecture." Once the relocalization of Ys VIII has been implemented on other platforms, NIS will work on optimizing the PC port. For those who pre-purchased the game via Steam, NIS is offering refunds.
