PC gamers looking forward to Monster Hunter: World will have to wait for several more months as the team has decided to delay the PC version to Autumn 2018. Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto explains the reasoning behind the decision below.

Tsujimoto explains that issues related to PC servers and matchmaking are the main reason for the delay. The development team wanted to have the console version released earlier and take more time to focus on PC specific development.

He goes on to explain that "There's extra work you need for PC as well. On console you use first party matchmaking, you just kind of plug into it, whether it's PSN or Xbox Live, but on PC were going to have to work more to get our match making working."

Capcom has released a video showing the "Rotten Vale" area. Viewers will be treated to a glimpse of the environment, monster inhabitants and combat. See it below.

For those who would like to try the game ahead of time, the final open beta is available from to join from January 18th-22nd. The PS4 and Xbox One versions will release worldwide on January 29th, 2018. Stay tuned to RPGFan for more updates on Monster Hunter: World.
