That surprise Nintendo Direct, doe!

What is this!? Why, it is a surprise Nintendo Direct Mini! I love when Nintendo gives us awesome surprises like this. They should give us surprises like this every week! Ok, maybe not every week, but a little more often than they usually do. It would be nice. Anyway, this week we have news stories from Trent Argirov and Peter Triezenberg, a review from Peter Triezenberg, a feature from Nicholas Ransbottom, and more of our continuing Final Fantasy 30th Anniversary feature.

Ys VIII was a fantastic game that was held back by a pretty mediocre localization. Thankfully, NISA realized their mistake and has made it up to everyone by relocalizing Ys VIII. Finally, on January 30th, everyone can enjoy it. And I do mean everyone, as the PC release will also be finished on the 30th as well. Oh, and did I mention Ys VIII is coming to the Switch this summer? Because it is, and that is awesome. Now anyone can enjoy the latest installment of this great franchise.

We are so close to the end of the Final Fantasy 30th Anniversary feature, but fear not, we still have some left in the tank. This week, we add Memorias for Final Fantasy XIV and XV, a look at some of the spin-off Final Fantasy games, and the last entry in Keegan Lee's first time through the series. I still say he should play Mystic Quest to finish it off!

Even after its release, I say this DLC should have been a Cooking Mama clone staring Ignis. Look into your hearts, you all know it to be true! Alas, it is not, but that doesn't mean it isn't a fun addition to Final Fantasy XV. Peter Trienzenberg takes a break from all his excellent work in the news department to give you a quick review of this new DLC.

Well, if you don't have a PS4 to enjoy the fantastic Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age, then you are in luck since now this tremendous remaster will also be available on the PC soon. With the addition of Final Fantasy XII and the soon to be PC version of Final Fantasy XV, almost every main title Final Fantasy game is now available on Steam. Of course, the only two games missing are Final Fantasy I and II, but I am sure they will be rectified eventually. It is going to be nice to have the entire series all in one place.

I think the title of this feature speaks for itself. You should be excited about Monster Hunter World, and if somehow you are not, Nicholas Ransbottom is going to try to convince you as to why you should be. One hundred percent worth a read if you're on the fence about this, and of course a full review of Monster Hunter World will be available soon as well.
