Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth Hacker's Memory Retweet Campaign Succeeds, New Digimon to be Added
Digital monsters being added to a digital game due to digital interaction is rather poetic, right?

Bandai Namco Entertainment has successfully completed a retweet campaign for Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth Hacker's Memory, via the game's official Japanese Twitter account, resulting in five additional Digimon being added to the base game in a free update once the title releases.

The tweet in question needed only 2,018 retweets to succeed, but fans smashed that goal to bits, amassing over 10,800 retweets before January 5th, the cut-off point. The Digimon slated to be added to the game have not been revealed at this time.

Personally, as a huge fan of the Digimon franchise, I'm ecstatic that Bandai Namco has used social media and a digital platform to both gauge fans interest in the franchise and reward them for their loyalty. I also want Asuramon to be one of the slated Digimon. A man can only dream…

Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth Hacker's Memory is set to release on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita on January 19th in America and European territories. It is currently available in Japan.
