Deep Silver will help bring part three to the world.

Developer Ys Net has announced that their game Shenmue III will be published globally by Deep Silver. The deal covers both physical and digital releases on PlayStation 4 and PC.
All parties involved seemed thrilled with the deal, with the CEO of Koch Media/Deep Silver Dr. Klemens Kundratitz stating "Shenmue is one of a few game franchises that have historical value whilst continuing to ignite passion across gamers. We are delighted to have signed this publishing partnership and look forward to utilizing our global publishing network to maximize the potential of this highly anticipated game."
Yu Suzuki, the creator of Shenmue and the CEO of Ys Net also weighed in saying that “I am very pleased to secure this global partnership with Deep Silver, which is comprised of incredible men and women who have a deep passion for bringing Japanese titles to the rest of the world." So awesome! Peoples are happy to be working with other peoples. This can only be good for helping the game go gold.
Shenmue III will make an appearance at this week's Gamescom, which runs from August 22-26th. Even better news for attendees? Shenmue creator Yu Suzuki will be there in person, and fans can attend one of two meet & greet sessions that will be held in the general admission entertainment area:
- August 23rd (Wednesday) — 6:30pm - 7:30pm
- August 24th (Thursday) — 12:30pm - 1:30pm
Shenmue III is expected to release in the second half of 2018 on PlayStation 4 and PC.
